Our Progress
Tutor Siblings is a non-profit organization aimed at increasing children's knowledge.
In Shanghai: since childhood until now – long time commitment
Inspired by her mother, Suri saw the real need and struggle of students at local schools for the children of migrant workers. Thus, Suri became the youngest teacher in our local community, where she taught math, English, crafting, martial arts etc. She used her own skill and hobbies to educate and empower other kids and give back to our community, instead of being laser focused on taking home trophies and winning awards for her resume.
In middle school fundraising activities
Suri poured her energy into every detail of the hiking fundraiser, from sketching colorful posters to mapping a route that balanced challenge with fun. What began with just spare change soon grew with her sister and friends joining in with their pocket money.
Founded a non-profit org “Tutor Siblings” (TS) for a big impact
Even after transferring to SSSAS, Suri remained committed to community service, her tutoring at Patrick Henry Elementary each Tuesday night. In the meanwhile, she founded the non-profit organization 'Tutor Siblings' to facilitate learning and collaboration to turn bigger tides globally, dedicated to schoolwork tutoring and gender education.
